Hey y'all....
OK: Here it is, new website coming soon! I will be updating on a regular basis and contributing to this digital world of ours.. A few news updates before the website comes... I'm featured in the March issue of International Musician. There's a wonderful full page article about me and I am thrilled and honored to be in it. A lot of old friends have seen it and its a trip. So thank you. I'll be with Tony Winner Douglas Hodge @ The Carlyle Hotel from March 15-26. I'll also be playing with the New York Voices at the New York Voices Jazz Festival in St. Charles, IL. Also have a few gigs coming up with New York Voices vocalist Lauren Kinhan and her project which is great fun. Stay tuned!

Great week of Gigs!
For anyone who actually comes to my website, I'm sorry I don't update my news. Or my audio. Or my photos. I do update my gigs (albeit infrequently). However, I'd like to report on a great week of gigs I had last week. Monday, I played with JC Sanford's large ensemble at the Tea Lounge. He is a fantastic writer and composer, and the band sounded great. Wednesday, I did my first American Idiot on Broadway. It's a fantastic show with an amazing band and cast. Friday, I traveled to Canada to play with Grammy-winning group The New York Voices. These guys (and gals) are some of my early jazz heroes from high school. Was a pretty fantastic time. Sunday, I concluded with the Erica Von Kleist group, which included some of my favorite people and musicians. Erica and husband Mike Webster, Ike Sturm on bass, and a new friend, Zaccai Curtis on piano. Enjoy the heat!

Hey. Greetings from the Czech Republic, in the small city of Vimperk. Leaving soon for Germany. I'm in the process of putting the gigs up on my site, but they are on all myspace (myspace.com/jaredschonig). Now we are being kicked out of the hotel!
